Description

Beginning this Spring, Wild Child will offer a bi-weekly Garden Club, meeting every other Saturday from 9-12 AM, April 18th to June 13th. (5 weeks)

Open to children and their caregivers, Garden Club invites families to slow down and connect with the land through hands-on, sensory-rich experiences as we tend and grow the Wild Child gardens together.

Shaped in part by Julia’s background in organic vegetable farming and therapeutic horticulture training, the Garden Club will thoughtfully balance spontaneity and structure, playfulness and skill-building, offering opportunities to gain knowledge while leaving plenty of space for curiosity and wonder. Together, we will create community and beauty in our shared space while exploring what it means to grow food and care for land in Zone 5.

Each gathering will be guided by the unfolding rhythms of spring.  Activities may include sowing peas in early April, foraging wild leeks in May, planting native flowers to support pollinators, and experimenting with seasonal natural dyes. Through shared work, observation, and creative exploration, children and grownups alike will gain ecological literacy and a deeper relationship with the living world.
